Common questions

Where do my bookmarks and reflections live?

On your device only. They never get uploaded anywhere. Delete the app and they're gone with it.

Can I sync between devices?

Not in v1.0. Optional iCloud sync is on the roadmap for v1.1.

The Arabic font isn't rendering right.

Force-quit and reopen the app. The bundled Uthmanic font registers when the app launches.

Prayer times look off.

Settings → Prayer & Adhān. Check the calculation method (MWL is a common default), your madhhab, and whether prayer times are using device GPS or your manual location. Different schools use different angles.

My streak reset.

A streak only counts a day when you actually advance your last-read ayah, not just opening the app. If today shows no progress, scroll a surah while reading and the streak counter will catch up before the day ends.

Khatm completion didn't fire.

Khatm finishing is manual in Hidaya. Go to the Khatm tab and tap "I finished today's reading" to confirm. This is on purpose, so background sync can't trigger a celebration when you didn't actually complete a juz.

I bought premium and don't see the unlocks.

On the Settings or Paywall screen, tap "Restore Purchases." Apple's StoreKit will re-validate your subscription against your Apple ID.
