Hidaya is a Quran study app for English-speaking Muslims. Here's how it handles your information. Short version: it doesn't collect any.

What gets collected

Nothing. Hidaya doesn't collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

What stays on your device

Everything below lives on your iPhone, encrypted by iOS, and never leaves it:

• Reading progress (last read surah and ayah)
• Bookmarks
• Journal reflections
• Memorization cards
• Reading plans
• Khatm tracker progress
• Reading streak count
• Settings (translation, theme, font size, prayer calculation method, location preferences)

Delete the app and this data goes with it.

Third-party services

There aren't any tracking SDKs in the app. No analytics, no ad networks, no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no Mixpanel. Apple's StoreKit handles in-app purchases. That's the only Apple-managed service the app talks to.

Location

If you turn on device location for prayer times, your GPS reading is used on-device to calculate the times. It doesn't leave your phone. You can also enter a location manually instead.
